While I love many non-American actors and actresses, Audrey has always been my favourite (all-around in addition to foreign), long before Amélie came out. Anyone who’s seen Dirty Pretty Things or Dieu est grand, je suis toute petite has to admit that she can act.
There is an out-take on the Amelie DVD where Audrey says something (I don’t understand French) directly into the camera and then walks away. I melts my heart every time I see it.
I wouldn’t care if she wasn’t a gifted actor. She’s visually perfect.
