Death Note is a Japanese manga series originally written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata centering around a high school student who decides to rid the world of evil with the help of a supernatural notebook.
Death Note first began as a manga series first serialized by Shueisha in Weekly Shonen Jump from the first issue in December 2003 to May 2006, with 108 chapters in total. The series has been published in its entirety in 12 graphic novels in Japan. Eventually, Death Note was licensed for American publication by VIZ Media and began to be released in October 2005. Later, a set of live-action movies based on the series were planned for production, with the first part released on June 17, 2006, and the second part due out on November 3, 2006. An anime series based on the manga commenced airing in Japan on October 3, 2006.

deathnote is amazing, definatly one of the best mangas out there.
I love Death Note!! But has anyone watched the movies? I heard people complaining about them… Is it really worth the watch? I actually didn’t watch the movies and series because reading the whole manga kind of… you know, destroyed the whole joy and surprise of lots of stuff in the series…
I’ve high expectation for this anime but the ending is … cant spoiled it here.
the movie is amazing too but still i dont like the ‘lastname’ ending. its ruined the storyline.

Death Note is the own all rule all of manga, it was so well plotted and put together. The end actually made me cry…I wont say as to ruin it if yall havnt read it. Give a !T K!CK$ @$$ if you think the same way I do and dont agree that what happened in the end should have happened.

Actually the movie is not that good as the anime besides that the story mode is changed as well..But anyway I'm waiting for the american movie I wish it could be better..Cuz I know that hollywood won't leave an amazing story like this besides,Warner Bro.s were in share of the jap.movie so I won't be suprised if one day I see the american version in a trailer.But DEATH NOTE IS THE BEST ANIME I'VE EVER SEEN.

You should go to youtube and search for vidoes of DeathNote by SilentReaper but posted by takeforever. The videos are so freaking funny. An example is Deathnote:L gets an idea.
