Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara; 5 September 1946 – 24 November 1991) was a British rock musician and songwriter, best known as the iconic lead singer and pianist of the rock band Queen. He is remembered for his vocal abilities and charisma as a live performer. As a songwriter, he composed many international hits, including “Killer Queen”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Somebody to Love”, “We Are the Champions” and “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”. In late 1991, Mercury died of complications from AIDS .

Probably the best singer and frontman in the history of popular music. Massive range, huge vocal power, and versatility, charisma, showmanship, dude had it all.

Without doubt the greatest showman in rock music. Absolutely peerless, he had a voice like nobody else that could express both power and deep sentiment. But that wasn’t all, he was a genius songwriter with a broad range being able to write both sensuous love songs and raging, soaring power rock. To top it all off he was an amazing frontman who could hold an entire audience in the palm of his hand and leave them feeling they’d just seen the greatest show on earth.

Why the hell are people saying he is the best guitarist ever? He did 3 chords over and over again in Crazy Little Thing Called Love, that's it.
Brian May is a very good guitarist, but he still can't touch Steive or Johnson.
Freddie Mercury's voice is unique. Songs like Bohemian Rhapsody or Killer Queen will rock forever and ever!
