Gmail is a free webmail and POP email service provided by Google, known for its abundant storage and advanced interface. It is known as Google Mail in the United Kingdom and Germany and recently aggregrated Google Talk to its online service as well, providing users with an online chat feature for quickly communication from any computer in the world. It currently offers 2GB+ of disk storage for emails and attachments and it’s fully integrated with Google Calendar. The account memory increases the longer you have the service.

I like it, but I wish the damned thing had folders.

It’s the greatest but folders would be nice.

You can have folders guys, they’re called ‘labels’ though in Gmail. When you’ve put a label on something, also ‘archive’ it so that it’s no longer in the inbox, just filed under the label. Same as folders really..

Who needs folders when you have labels

ChrisOdaWas
ChrisOdaWas posted over 2 years ago

actually labels are better than folders, because you can label stuff with more than one label, but you could put an email in just one folder ;) That’s one of the features that hyped Gmail

There is no doubt this is the best email service. Two letters make it better than anyone else. UI.

My favorite part about Gmail is the advertisements it does based on your email- especially if you go to your Spam folder and the advertisement is usually a recipe for Spam (the “meat”). Cracks me up.

There were many webmailers out there, but all together they were unhandy, complex and full of features, nobody needed: send SMS , MMS, Fax and postcards to everyone, send more with a pro account, have a integrated calendar system and see lots of ad banners, test our spam-protection, make it better by paying, don’t forget to look on our ISP -services…

And then came GMail.

Receip of Caipirinha Gabriela

Ingredients

- 1/2 Lemon (1 is better) - 1 Tablespoon of sugar - 4-6 cl of Cachaça Gabriela - Ice Cubes

How to do it

Slice the lemon in two or four pieces. Put the sugar in a glass and squeeze together the lemon pieces with a pestle. Then, add Cachaça Gabriela in the glass and stir it to mix. Add the ice and stir again.

Gmail is also awesome because they give you the POP option… for Free (unlike Yahoo) so you can check your Gmail account with another email application if you have to.

I like using it with my cell phone for instance.

The World’s Best mailing service, because of it’s quick loading. The gmail talk (messenger) is also great. The only drawback is the lack of file management services. We cannot create any folders unfortunately. But still, gmail is the shiny gmail.

I couldn’t give a rat’s botty about the apparent lack of privacy which some gits say accompanies Google products; I’m beyond shame, and hence, am more than happy with their user-friendly, stylish and above all else FREE products.

I have Gmail, and I have tried Yahoo! Mail a couple of times since their new interface came, and even though Yahoo! has ‘infinite’ storage, I don’t need more than 6GB (hell, I could go with 200MB, but I’m not complaining.)

Gmail is the cleanest, fastest, and best email provider out there (and with IMAP it just keeps getting better).

Thanks, Google!

I shifted from yahoo mail to gmail because the character encoding of yahoo is "western european" while that of gmail is unicode (UTF-8). So I can work with any language I know. While yahoo is only for english speakers.

I have been a Yahoo! Premium user for 3 years and I was very happy with Yahoo! especially with the amazing possibility to create up to 500 secondary e-mail addresses for the same inbox + an almostvprincipal e-mail address.

Yahoo! Address Book semt very convenient to me...

I had had a Gmail address for 3 years also but I did not understand how it worked...

I recently discovered the amazing possibilities of Gmail which make Yahoo! Mail outdated...

The amazing feature with Gmail is the combination of :

1. Archive it is so easy to send individually any message to the achive, like a cellar...

2. Labels : a fundamental tool which replaces and outdates the files...

3. Filters : really handy and amazing ! allows you to clean very quickly your Inbox without losing any message !

The Gmail Address Book is much better connected with your Gmail messages than Yahoo!

Gmail changed my life !
