Admittedly, the awkwardness is not very obvious in this picture, but just recall their little “date” at Madam Puddifoot’s tea shop – oh, how I cringe!

Agh! How wrong for each other they were!
So glad you agree! Oh, this “relationship” – and I use the term loosely – is just too painful! And I don’t mean to be insensitive, I liked Cedric too, but at some point I just wanted to scream at Cho, “SHUT UP! We don’t care that you’re sad! Stop crying! STOP IT ! If anyone has the right to be wallowing in misery, it’s Harry! Go away, you silly girl! And your stupid bitch of a friend Marietta too!”
I’m sorry about that outburst. I’m done now.
Never ye worry, fair lady. I have had the urge to shout the same thing.
Really, how long were Cho and Cedric together? They wouldn’t have lasted a month longer. SHE DIDN ’T SEE HIM DIE ! Christ. How dare she get angry with Harry.
She was baaaaad for him. The last thing he needs is for someone to constantly ask him how someone he saw die died.
Exactly! EXACTLY !! GRRR !!
Jeez, Nimble, had you and I been given unfettered access to Hogsmeade, perhaps with an Invisibility Cloak, we would have set that girl straight. Broken her slinky and everything.
Daaaaaamn straight.
Hell, if you and I had been in charge of making the Harry Potter movies, they’d be perfection!
Well, I don’t like to brag, but I daresay you are right – though I fear if we were in charge, certain parts of the books would be liberally altered (eg. Umbridge meeting a much more violent fate – none of this namby pamby manhandling by centaurs, you would cast a hotter Lupin, I wouldn’t let Sirius die at all, Rickman might bitch slap the meanness out of movie Dumbledore… the possibilities are endless.)
I think the Harry/Cho relationship was a good thing. She’s Harry’s first love, and then he realise she’s… well, you know how she is. It makes the books more realistic. It would be very fairytale like if Harry just meet his one true love, and happily ever after and so on. Plus, i can relate to Harry. My first love was a b*tch.;)
Oh, I completely agree, Boomy! The book would have not been as good without the whole thing.
Doesn’t stop them from being wrong for each other. ;)
No it doesn’t.
To tell the truth, I think Cho Chang turned out to be the wrong girl for everybody :P
