Hercule Poirot is a fictional character, the protagonist of many of detective novels by Agatha Christie, a good number of which have been adapted into films, television series, radio dramas, and stage shows. Poirot is remarkable for his small stature, egg-shaped head, cat-like green eyes, his meticulous moustache and his dandified dressing habits, which are often a source of amusement.
