My mom actually brought the meatballs home and I wasnt too fond of the taste. What can I say I am the pickiest eater ever.
Great store!! They have lots of great stuff besides furniture. If I had to pick one furniture/household item store to go to, it would be Ikea. I am part Swedish, so where else would I go!! You should check it out Trix, oh, and bring a change of pants (just in case!!) :D
Ahh, the meatballs, I swear no matter how much you chew them, they reform as soon as they get into your stomach, and from there. . . Well, anyway they are good!!
You know, I used to love these freaking swedes and their nice and inexpensive things but the last couch I got from them turned out to be an gigantic piece of cheap crap so no love anymore.

Because IKEA is a world-wide company working in several countries with several different languages, sometimes the Nordic naming leads to problems where the word means something completely different to the product. A well known example was the bed frame GUTVIK . As the word can be pronounced Gootfick it invites German-speaking people to understand it like gut fick which means “good fuck” in German.

Anyway: a sofa, or bed, is called GRANKULLA , which in Italian sounds like “amazing cradle”. lol
I never thought about the names of the items? But I do love my “billy” and my “not” (bookcase and lamp) I have had the bookcase for about 15 years, the furniture holds up great as long as you don’t move it around to much.

Possibly just a coincidence? If they had to worry about how the names would translate in the language of countries where their goods are sold, that would be a very time consuming task. Just a thought…

i love ikea! i don't care if it's cheap and not durable stuff; you don't feel sorry to throw it away when you get bored with it and want to change it for something else… it's the best way to change your stuff as your mood changes with a little money… and it's modern and colourful stuff!
