Jacob Black is Bella's best friend. He is a Quileute Native American and a werewolf, later revealed to be a shape-shifter as he doesn't transform on the full moon. In Twilight, Jacob plays a minor role, being a forgotten childhood friend of Bella's. In an attempt to learn more about Cullens, Bella flirts with Jacob, and he tells her tribe legends about them being "the cold ones", or vampires. After Edward leaves Bella in New Moon, Bella spends much of her time with Jacob, trying to heal her broken heart and move on. Though at first only a friend, Jacob later falls in love with Bella. Although he spends most of his time in Eclipse trying to win Bella, in Breaking Dawn he imprints on Bella and Edward's daughter, Renesmee.

I personally hate Jacob Black. Who does he think he is trying to steal Bella away from Edward? And hes such a loser and sinks to the lowest lows to make Bella feel bad for him. Blahhh! He disgustes me! I do find it nice that he kept Bella sane when Edward was gone, but other than that I don't like him in the slightest.

It's weird because I want to hate Jacob, but I can't. He sometimes seems like this really annoying fly that won't go away, and then at the same time he's always in the back of your mind. It's sooo irritating. Just leave Bella alone! But then again, she needs him sometimes. Then she's using him. And Edward is soo hot! I don't know! SO CONFUSING! Poor Bella.
I just can’t hate Jacob the poor guy really and he knows he can only ever come second and he still doesn’t seem mind really, thought he hates edward which is sad since they both want the same thing. Oh and may I just say that the guy playing edward in the movie is just such a little cutie, tho he will have to grow up heaps (litteraly) by the next movie.
