Mark Lenard (October 15, 1924 – November 22, 1996) portayed several roles on Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Next Generation, most notably the Vulcan Ambassador Sarek. He was the first actor to play a Romulan (TOS: “Balance of Terror”), a full-blooded Vulcan (Sarek), and a Klingon with cranial ridges. (The Motion Picture).
