Playing with Melting Candle Wax

I used to make cubes out of candle wax.

That would make them wax cubes. What did you do with them?

I threw them up and down… things like that I guess.

I like making fingertip caps. I guess the best thing about it that at first it’s totally hot, then almost instantly, it is very soothing. I better stop.

This may sound weird, but whenever I take baths, and I surround the room with candles, and listen to Nick Drake, and I think it’s fun to pour candle wax in my belly button because it makes a cool shape, and then I just throw it against the wall because I can.

Please refrain from belittling me. I’m fragile.

I make the fingertip caps as well, then I let it dry and tap my fingers on the table to really annoy everyone around.

Yes, I forgot to mention about tapping on the table, it really freaks people out!! That’s the best part.

Don’t know about tapping tables, but it’s great fun when tapping some ass ;)

Tapping is good.. Plus making wax seals to seal paper with. Totally pointless, yet fun.

I saw a wax sealing kit at a store recently, I was surprised they still sold them, as JOPGrl says it is pointless, but it is fun!!

Totally. That’s neat, a seal kit… I jsut pour hot wax onto the paper and press it down with a stamp I have that has my initials intertwined.

yeah, even though it really is, totally pointless. They have that icky tasting stuff for the envelopes now.

My Dad used to have a wax sealer, if I recall doesn’t that sealing wax smell kind of nasty? Didn’t it give off a white smoke, or was I doing it wrong?! :D

It is pointless to us, but before they invented envelopes, or tape, or glue they had to seal their papers somehow.

I think it’s really elegant! Royal seals, and all that! Little ribbons under the wax…

No doubt! Totally elegant, royal if you will!! I think that’s the idea of doing it now, it’s classy.

i used to get a pin and stick it in the flame and then it the wax. i felt like god for some unexplainable reason...

This was my fav pastime when I was a kid… Crhistmas candles were my prey… :)

see the fuzzy bit at the end burns quick but the like wraped paper or whatever it's made of burns slow and makes a good charcaol pancil
